This week, The Jig will do a short tour in Germany. The band starts on Friday 19 October in Jazzclub Lünen near Dortmund, where we will funkify the party to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the club. Next stop on Saturday night is the Jazzkeller in Krefeld, where famous jazz artists like Johnny Griffin, Chet Baker, John Scofield and Dave Holland played over the years. The day after we head up north to Hamburg to do a gig in Stellwerk (Hamburg). In the recent past, respected Dutch bands like Monsieur Dubois and State of Monc could be seen on their stage. After that, The Jig moves to Berlin, where the final performance will take place on 22 October in the B-flat music club. Saxophone player Yuri Honing performed here last week too.
