You might have thought otherwise but no, The Soul Snatchers are still alive and kickin’. It’s been quiet for some time but the Soul Snatchers have not been sitting still! Over the past years they did work on other projects as well and released albums with acts like Tommy Tornado, Laura Vane & The Vipertones, The Jazzinvaders, The Spinshots and DelMontis but… they always kept producing new material.
Last ‘summer’ they did some recordings and Phil Martin is finishing up the latest mixes as we speak. The album will contain tracks featuring soulsinger Curtis T. and Dutch funk legend Jimi Bellmartin once more. It goes without saying that there will be some new instrumentals which will hopefully turn out to be classics over time, just like some on their first album. The album is scheduled for early 2012 and the Snatchers are getting ready for new gigs and finishing up their new live show.
