The style and the sound make the most of the intense warmth emanating from the combination of trombone and tenor sax. The rhythm section behind them swings, pulses, sparkles and shines. The quintet’s repertoire consists mainly of compositions by the band leader. Lust creates a mix – with lusty sophistication, we may well add – of American and European style elements. Enhanced by the musical endowment exhibited by the individual members, the result is an international sound of truly high calibre.
