High Energy Modal Jazz

Music & More proudly presents: The Bart Lust Quintet. A new concept had to be invented to name the style of the Bart Lust Quintet: High Energy Modal Jazz. The style and the sound make the most of the intense warmth emanating from the combination of trombone and tenor sax. The rhythm section behind them swings, pulses, sparkles and shines. The quintet’s repertoire consists mainly of compositions by the band leader. Read more…

Meet the Han Litz Group

Latest edition to the Music & More roster is the ‘Han Litz Group‘. Welcome! When the soulful samba jazz flutist and composer Han Litz formed his own group it wasn’t about gathering together some musicians to play his songs. It was about bringing together some friends whose collective sound he knew would inspire him in writing customised compositions. After graduating from the Amsterdam Conservatory Litz went on to play with a variety of genrebounding bands: Flowriders, the Coltrane re-arrangers, Kindred Spirits Ensemble and DJ collective Supa Dance Jam. Monsieur Dubois 1999 – 2012

After many disappearances and re-appearances, the definite end has come for Monsieur Dubois. All good things should come to an end, for Dubois it lasted over 12,5 years and now it’s time to move on. They want to thank everybody who supported Monsieur Dubois over the years, all true fans, the “Catch 22 friends” helping the band financing “Slow Bombastik”, the people who were reponsible for a great sound in the studio and on stage, the people who provided good looks and image, the clubowners who invited Dubois over and over again. The bandmembers continue to work in other existing and new bandprojects, knowing that the one who once gave them their name will in any case be amused, eternally. Peace out
